Lealt Falls

A fall-tastic rest stop.

Located just 7 kilometers south of Staffin, south of Culnacnoc, Lealt Falls is a lovely rest stop for a leisurely stroll, or even a cosy picnic with friends and family. The falls is located just after Culnacnoc, along road A855, and an easy 5-10 minutes walk from the parking lot.

Enjoy scenic panoramas of the sea and cliffs from the first observation deck; adventurous souls can also journey down the steep and rocky (but clear) path to the shore to explore the fascinating ruined diatomite works below. To get a stunning, close-up view of the powerful falls, continue heading down 20 or 30 metres below the viewing point, then look inland - a spectacular reward for the brave and fearless.

Tips Before You Go
The path beyond the viewpoint can get steep, and slippery following a bout of rain. Visitors are advised to wear comfortable shoes (no flip-flops!) when visiting the falls. The falls is a good stop over for visitors on the way to Kilt Rock!
