Le Jardin Secret

A well-kept tiny garden is worth more than a large abandoned field.

Le Jardin Secret is finally opening its doors to the public for the first time in its history. The origins of the complex date back to the Saadian Dynasty, more than four hundred years ago. Reconstructed in the mid-nineteenth century at the behest of an influential kaid of the Atlas Mountains, Le Jardin Secret has been home to some of Morocco and Marrakesh’s most important political figures.

As you step foot into the well-kept exotic and traditional Islamic gardens, prepare to be fully immersed into it thanks to the recent renovation works. The garden itself is a work of art, with a wide range of exotic flora and fauna, fed by an original khettara (underground irrigation system), sure to wow you. Le Jardin Secret is part of the great tradition of stately Arab-Andalusian and Moroccan palaces, visitors can visit their beautiful gardens and mesmerizing buildings, which are outstanding examples of Islamic art and architecture.
