See the world-famous statue of The Little Mermaid and more at the Langelinie.
Meaning ‘long line’ in Danish, the Langelinie refers to the pier, park and promenade in Copenhagen. A popular place for both locals and tourists, the Langelinie Park is the ideal spot for a picnic. Do not miss the majestic Gefion Fountain and the elegant Ivar Huitfeldt Column. Along the picturesque pier, look out for the bronze sculpture of a polar bear with a few bullet holes on the head, made by a German soldier. Possibly the most famous icon of Denmark, a visit to The Little Mermaid is not to be missed. In fact, it is even possible to get up close and take selfies with this stunning statue when the tide is low. If you get hungry, then check out some of the restaurants and cosy cafes dotting the pier. After all, this is a great place to relax and watch the Scandinavian sunset over Langelinie Pier.
