La Cabana de Che Guevara

In honor of Cuba’s hero.

La Cabana de Che Guevara is easy to identify - a white building sitting atop a hill, with a red-topped roof and the curl of the “che” running across two arches near the entrance. This great icon of the Cuban Revolution, whose efforts have long been regaled across all of Cuba, is also a name known to many across the world. He is honored here at his former place in Havana, where he and his companions stayed and worked until 1959.

The building is now a museum, where you can find various artefacts and pictures of Che and his life, including his marriage to Aleida March, with descriptions available in English. If you want to know more about this man who has been immortalized in history, and is celebrated to this day, then head down to La Cabana for a better understanding of his life. If you’re not familiar with him, do read up about him, for he was a man both revered and reviled.
