Kuala Lumpur Butterfly Park

Enjoy a quick sojourn into the world of one of the most varied and beautiful species.

Tucked in amidst the green enclave of the Perdana Botanical Gardens, there is a veritable secret garden, full of the silent flutter of powdery wings. The Kuala Lumpur Butterfly Park is home to over 120 species of butterflies. Covering over 7000 square metres, the area within the enclosure is open, so visitors have the opportunity to go on a butterfly hunt; tracking down and identifying the different species housed here. The muted gurgle of a fountain in the park lulls you into a sense of oneness with nature as you find yourself wandering along the tracks, ducking to check under beefy palm leaves, and craning your neck as far back as it’ll go to take in as much of the flitting beauty as possible.

These colourful residents are not the only living things you’ll find here. Colourful Japanese koi fish and freshwater turtles inhabit the ponds and fountains that beautify the park. Of course, you can’t have a park without having the flora and fauna that defines it! The butterfly park is beautifully landscaped with a plethora of vines, exotic plants and flowers. Surely, the Kuala Lumpur Butterfly Park is definitely worth a look for the beauty and tranquility it offers.
