Koninklijke Porceleyne Fles

Be awed by the exquisite blue pottery at this 17th century factory.

The Koninklijke Porceleyne Fles, also known as the Royal Delft, is the last of the 32 earthenware factories established in Delft in the 17th century, and is most famous for its Delftware production, which has been continuously active for over 350 years! The factory produces the intricate blue and white pottery, which is made from clay coated with a tin glaze after it is fired.

At this factory, you can admire the craftsmanship behind the hand-painted pottery (following strict, centuries-old standards) up close and soak in the past, present and future of the pottery. You will also learn about every step of its production process. There’s not only that: you can revel in the collection of classical and modern pottery that is on display at the factory, from small plates to large vases. Be sure to make space in your itinerary for this amazing place.
