Located at the top of the mountain Kjerag, Kjeragbolten is accessible by an eight-hour hike filled with inclines and descents. From the start, the clouds wafting across the deep brown rock terrain will make you feel like you are on an epic journey through the treacherous mountains to save the world. As you ascend, you may find yourself in the company of grazing sheep or a meandering creek. At the top of the mountain, the clouds are so close that your fingertips might just graze them if you reach out. Here, you can head onto Kjeragbolten or simply enjoy the stunning sights around you. For those who seek more thrills, Kjeragbolten is also a prime place for BASE jumping using a parachute or wingsuit. This is one place where you can get death-defying, and fantastic pictures for sure.

Tips Before You Go
The trip to Kjeragbolten is a demanding hike that requires proper planning and hiking equipment. It is advised that you’ve undergone some degree of physical conditioning prior to attempting the ascent. Comfortable shoes are a must as well, although you might want to wear snowshoes if you’re planning to hike in the winter. However, it is extremely dangerous to do so.
