Kjenndalen Glacier

Witness the wonders of nature at the Kjenndalen Glacier and complete the experience with a romantic cruise along Lovatnet Lake.

One of the many arms of the Jostedalsbreen, the Kjenndalen glacier (also known as the Kjenndalsbreen by locals) is by far the least popular glacial arm of the Jostedalsbreen. Yet, those who have made the trip to Kjenndalsbreen claim that it is by far the most beautiful glacial arm out there.

Surrounded by green, rocky mountains and extending to ever-stunning Lovatnet, the Kjenndalsbreen charms every onlooker who sets his/her sights on it. For those feeling adventurous, you can hike all the way up to the Kjenndalsbreen from the valley which is sure to take your breath away (which would take approximately 45 mins). Alternatively, one can choose to drive up a winding mountain path and subsequently take a 10 min walk to admire the glacier in all its glory.

Whichever route you take, rest assured that your eyes will be treated to a mesmerizing view of this beautiful glacier.
