King Rama IX Park

Experience different parts of the world within the beautiful King Rama IX Park.

Spanning across 200 acres, the King Rama IX Park, also known as Suan Luang Rama IX Park, is the largest park to visit when in Bangkok. The park was established in honour of King Bhumibol's 60th birthday in 1987, and is a great place to spend time with family and friends, away from the crowded streets of Bangkok. While the park has a lovely lake and lush greenery, one of the more unique features is the museum in the centre, detailing the life of the King. Another element that adds to the novelty of the park is its gardens that contain representations from various countries, such as China and America, amongst many more. The Chinese garden is hidden in a walled garden within a wooden pavilion, while the American garden is housed in a large futuristic dome, reminiscent of the Nevada desert. Come and experience the world without stepping out of Bangkok at the King Rama IX Park.
