Kiltepan View

Morning, sunshine.

As the highest point in the area bounded by the charming villages of Kilong, Tetep-an and Antadao, Kiltepan peak (or Kiltepan viewpoint) is famous as the best sunrise viewing spot in Sagada. Situated about 3-kilometres from the city centre in Eastern Sagada, the viewpoint can be accessed via vehicle followed by a short walk to the peak for stunning panoramic views of the surrounding natural landscape.

As the golden sun peeks through the thick blanket of clouds that shroud the surrounding landscape with an air of mystery, the entire valley becomes illuminated in a warm orange glow, inspiring awe and amazement in all who behold this magical sight. As the clouds ease away and the sun takes its rightful place high up in the sky, visitors are rewarded with another magnificent sight – the beautiful rice terraces of the villages of Kilong, Tetep-an and Antadao. Several food stalls selling an assortment of refreshments such as arroz caldoso, coffee and hot cocoa are available at Kiltepan peak, so that visitors can enjoy the majestic Sagada sunrise in relative comfort.
