A stadium that stays cool despite all the heat.
Fans of the FIFA World Cup will be excited to hear about this attraction. Initially opened in the 1970s, the Khalifa International Stadium in Doha was renovated in 2017, and is one of the host stadiums for the prestigious FIFA World Cup in 2022. That is not to say that the stadium is a stranger to big events. It was in fact the host for the 2011 AFC Asian Cup, welcoming countries like China, Uzbekistan and Australia to its grass pitch. The great part about the stadium is the air conditioning, thoughtfully installed so that even in the dead heat of summer, players and spectators alike can stay fresh at a cool temperature. Proving that it is a versatile venue, the stadium is all set to host the upcoming IAAF World Championships in Athletics in 2019. Even if you are not catching an event, you simply must visit the Khalifa International Stadium and see for yourself this marvel at work.
