Kalbarri National Park

Beautiful coastal views and natural attractions beckon.

Often mentioned in conjunction with the brilliant Murchison River gorge, Kalbarri National Park is also well-known for its coastal views, surf spots, beautiful beaches and spectacular lookouts. One of the attractions that offer the most breath-taking view of the park is the Z-Bend, which is a 1.4-km return walk from the carpark. There, visitors can see the gorges of the river from above.

In addition, with plenty of trails and stiking spots to choose from, one could go to Hawk's Head or picnics, which promises a view of the majestic Murchison River gorge. If you would like to go for a swim, the Red Bluff lookout is the place to be; with one of Kalbarri's famous beaches located at its base as well. In addition, its 100m cliff makes it a panoramic lookout spot for marine creatures, ranging from elegant dolphins to even the humpback whales if you're lucky. Like many other national parks in Australia, scenic routes like the Mushroom Rock Walk Trail are also available where you would get to marvel at nature's creations - geological rock formations that sometimes offers glimpses of kangaroos grazing around.

Come during sunset to witness the spectacular landscape unfold before you, as well as to admire the beautiful coastlines or sit by one of the secluded beaches to enjoy the sea breeze and watch the sky set itself ablaze. With a variety of lookout points, beaches, and some of nature's greatest works, the Kalbarri National Park promises an all-encompassing experience for one and all.
