Kaiser’s Throne

A spectacular viewing point on the summits of Pelekas!

Situated atop the village of Pelekas, one will find a renowned look-out point known as Kaiser’s Throne, named after the German Emperor Kaiser Wilhelm II, who used to spend his summers in Corfu. Although the emperor resided in the Achilleion Palace, he often frequented Pelekas Village for its remarkable sunsets, especially with its spectacular panoramic view from Kaiser’s Throne. Aptly named, one would really feel as though they are seated atop a throne, and bestowed with a wonderful view of the skylines before them.

For a more impressive view, one could further hike up the steep slope so as to access this exclusive area formerly used by Emperor Kaiser himself, otherwise, the other areas around the Pelekas village promises ravishing views too. Although best viewed at sunset, one could visit at any time of the day and still be rewarded with a great view of the village.
