Situated in the heart of Kunming city in Yunnan, China, the Jinma Biji Historic Site is often touted as one of the most iconic landmarks of the city, with its magnificent and elaborately decorated gateways and popular pedestrian street. The red-roofed gateways are brilliantly constructed, and symbolically represented by two different animals: the Golden Horse arch in the east and the Jade Rooster arch to the west.
