This 15th century temple was built by a Jain businessman by the name of Dharna Shah, who according to legend, decided to build the temple after a divine vision in his dream. Made of white marble and over 1000 uniquely and intricately decorated pillars, this three-storey architectural marvel is a sight to behold.


Within the temple complex you will find temples such as the Parsavanath temple and the Amba Mata Temple, but the Chaumukha temple is one that cannot be missed. Dedicated to Lord Adinath, the first Jain Tirthankara, this four-faced temple has beautifully decorated ceilings, and a main hall, and shaped like a heavenly vehicle. Do not forget to check out the carving of a serpent that protected Lord Parshvanth, it is said that the end of the serpent cannot be found in the carving. Why not try your luck at that?
