Situated at 249 West 45th Street (George Abbott Way) in midtown-Manhattan, the Imperial Theatre seats up to 1417 people. Originally conceived by the Schuberts, this theatre became the stage where world-renowned musicals and concerts were held. Designed by Herbert J. Krapp, with his hallmark Adam style, the exquisite ceiling and ornamental panels that grace the walls are embellished with floral and geometrical motifs. The layout of the theatre is wide which allows the audience to feel closer to the performers, enriching the experience as a whole. A show at the Imperial Theatre must not be missed for this was where famous musicals such as Fiddler on the Roof (1964) and Les Misérables (1990) were performed.
