The gate of Piazza Bra.

Marking the entrance of Piazza Bra, the I Portoni della Bra is a 14th century gateway comprising of a pentagonal tower and a clock, located in Verona. The impressive old clock, donated by Antonio Nogarola, is set between the two Romanesque arches, and tells the time to visitors who walk past it. A bust of William Shakespeare (1564 – 1616) is located in one of the pillars of the gateway, as well as a plaque with a quote from Romeo and Juliet inscribed on it. Head to the top floor of Museo Lapidario Maffeiano to get a spectactular bird’s eye view of the gateway, as well as the Piazza that lies after it.

Tips Before You Go
Like most of the other landmarks in Rome, the I Portoni della Bra attracts a ton of visitors. As such, it is recommended that you come early in the morning to avoid them. In doing so, you will get amazing photographs of the gate, without people getting in your shot.
