Hungarian Railway History Park

A paradise for vehicle lovers.

If your kids love Thomas the Engine and his friends, then this outdoor museum park is bound to thrill both children and adults alike. With over 50 vintage locomotives sitting in a semicircle, you will be fascinated regardless of whether you are an engine or cat enthusiast or not. There are a range of steam and electric engines, some of which continue to operate.

There’s even hand-powered cards and inspection cars, and plenty of activities for your kids. They’ll definitely love getting behind the wheel! The teak dining car which was built for the Orient Express is on display here as well, and that will definitely capture your attention. Learn more about the history of railway stations and related equipment in Hungary, and pretend to be the Hungarian Prime Minister as you take a look at the Soviet Chaika, the automobile that served as his official car. You can try riding on the turntable or even the horse tram. With so much to do and see, we guarantee that you will have a whale of fun here!
