At an astonishing 507km-long, the Hudson River flows through New York City, even forming the division between its neighbor, New Jersey. Named after English Sea Explorer Henry Hudson, the Lake Tear of the Clouds is generally considered to be the source of this lengthy river.


The river is great for boating, going so far as to have its own club, the Hudson River Boat & Yacht Club. The activity is made all the more convenient with boat ramps. Anglers you are even allowed to fish here, and try your hand at catching the Striped Bass, New York’s official saltwater fish.
