Niagara Falls, Canada
Horseshoe Falls

The largest of three waterfalls which form the Niagara Falls!

The Horseshoe Falls, also known as the Canadian Falls, is part of the Niagara Falls along the Niagara River which is situated at the Canada-US Border, specifically between Terrapin Point on Goat Island in the US and Table Rock in Ontario, Canada. About 90% of the Niagara River flows over these falls. The falls are about 51 m in height and spans over 800 m in width. Get up early and come before the crowds start building up and start your visit at the Table Rock in Canada where you can gaze at what Table Rock has to offer amidst the mist from the gushing water. As the sun shines through the water, be sure to look out for a rainbow or two. With a small fee, step onto an observation deck at the base of the falls and go deep into the bedrock to tunnels that will take you behind the gushing falls. After that, take a walk along Niagara Parkway to Rainbow Bridge for some brilliant photo opportunities or hop on a boat tour to view the stunning falls from the water.

Tips Before You Go
If you are visiting during winter, you are advised to dress warmly as the weather, along with the splash from the water, can be dreadfully cold. Expect to get wet if you head to the observation deck otherwise, you can have lunch at one of the restaurants facing the falls and enjoy some spray-free viewing.
