Horseid Beach

A heavenly abode on the coast of Lofoten.

Raw, unadulterated beauty. That is exactly what you will see at the Horseid Beach in Moskenesøy, Norway. For those of you who like a little bit of adventure before being transported to paradise, this is the ideal place for you.

You have to hike about 2 hours to reach this beach, but it is certainly worth the effort. Due to the relatively arduous travel, a popular option for many visitors is to camp out here, so that one can fully appreciate and savour the tall, mountainous backdrop against the clean sand and blue waters while enjoying the thrill of resting out in the open.

The hiking trail begins at the Kjerkfjorden pier, and is not too challenging to follow, though you do have to pay attention because some parts of it are overgrown and may prove difficult to traverse through, especially if you aren’t an experienced hiker. Adventure seekers wait no more – make your way to the Horseid Beach and earn that beautiful view.
