An active historic lighthouse promising glorious views.

Painted distinctively in red and white stripes, the historical Hornby Lighthouse that was built in 1858 continues to be active today. This iconic lighthouse can be reached via the South Head heritage trail, which starts from Camp Cove at Watsons Bay. History buffs will be intrigued by the multiple historic gun emplacements on the way as well. In the winter, it is a perfect spot for whale watching, aside from the usual views of the iconic locations. Offering superb views of the Pacific Ocean and Sydney Harbour, in addition to a glorious sunrise at daybreak, this is definitely a spot well worth a visit.
