Situated next to the Shing Mun River in Sha Tin, lies the Hong Kong Heritage Museum. Opened in 2000, this museum specialises in the art, culture and history of Hong Kong and can accommodate up to 6,000 visitors. Along with a few permanent galleries, there are also temporary exhibitions held from time to time.


Catch a traditional Cantonese opera with English subtitles at the Cantonese Opera Heritage Hall and be awed-inspired by over 30,000 items related to this art-form. Appreciate classical artefacts at the T.T. Tsui Gallery of Chinese Art or take a peek into Bruce Lee’s life through a display of some 600 items of the kungfu star. Not just for adults, kids will love this place for there is a Children's Discovery Gallery area with interactive play zones to keep them entertained. Relax with a cup of coffee and snacks at the museum café and do not forget to bring home some lovely souvenirs at the museum shop.
