Ho Chi Minh Museum

One of the most resourceful museums in both Hanoi and Vietnam.

One of the most resourceful museums in Hanoi and perhaps the whole of Vietnam, the Ho Chi Minh museum is situated within the Ho Chi Minh complex. The entire museum is a brilliant display of Ho Chi Minh’s life, with eight chronological topics. The first, from 1890 to 1910, shows his upbringing, hometown and youth. The second one looks at the next ten years when young Ho Chi Minh travelled the world in search of a way to rescue his beloved country from the menacing grasps of colonialism. The next three topics, covering the years from 1920 to 1945, depict how Ho Chi Minh was able to apply the influence of Marxism and Leninism, and incorporate it into founding the Vietnamese Communist party. All that, and up to striving for the country’s independence. From 1945 to 1969, which was the time-frame of the next two topics, his illustrious political life was brought to the spotlight, up till his dying moments. The final part of the museum is a collection of artefacts, miniatures and various gifts gathered from around the world, showcasing the amount of respect the visionary leader, Ho Chi Minh, had earned wherever he went.
