Hana Town

This is your destination on the Road to Hana.

As you traverse the winding Hana Highway, past flowing waterfalls and breathtaking vistas, keep an eye out for a welcome sign that reads, “Hana, the heart of Old Hawaii”. There’s just so much to do here that you should definitely stay overnight. You get to indulge in Hawaiian culture and the natural beauty all around you, as the town has been virtually untouched by major developments. No matter what you love to do on vacation, Hana offers it all.

Beach lovers can discover legend at the Wai’anapanapa Black Sand Beach, which boasts a sea cave, a sea arch and even a blowhole! Sink your feet into the grey black sand and gaze out at the deep blue of the waves. For those who want more adventure, trek to the Red Sand Beach, for a stunning sight. Of course, you can dive into the water and enjoy a picnic at Hana Beach Park. You don’t like the idea of that? The historic St. Sophia’s Church awaits, its lush pastures spreading to the main street, or, if it piques your interest, the Hale Piilani, the state’s largest Hawaiian temple. History buffs, head down to the Cultural Center and Museum to take a look at relics of Hana’s past. Of course, your trip to Hana won’t be complete until you step foot into Hasegawa General Store, a fourth-generation family-owned business that remains popular to this day amongst locals and tourists alike. Hana Town is truly a wonder!
