Hamnøy Fishing Village

That picture-perfect postcard shot you’ve always wanted of an unbelievably picturesque fishing village.

Situated amidst the stunning Lofoten archipelago, Hamnøy Village only contributes to the ethereal, otherworldly beauty of nature’s gem – Norway. Hamnøy Village is the oldest fishing village in Norway and is also definitely it’s most picturesque. Set against the backdrop of majestic, stately mountains and the cool-toned hues of the sky and sea, it is not difficult to understand why.

Although small, the village is serene and iconic in it’s beauty, and is a lovely place to wander because of its scenic, unspoiled nature. Visitors have access to a myriad of exciting outdoor and cultural activities, such as hiking, fishing, local museums and galleries, and can even rent boats and bikes to explore surrounding areas of interest. The coolest part – visitors are accommodated in the original fishermen cabins during their stay on the island, with a modern twist (millennials need not worry, all cabins are well equipped with modern facilities, including the internet). Quaint and so beautiful it’s in a league of its own, Hamnøy Village is a must for all visitors who seek an unforgettable, one-of-a-kind travel experience in Norway.
