Unlike many other brewery museums in the country, the Hakutsuru Sake Brewery Museum is actually housed in an old sake Kura (brewery), giving this place an authentic feel to it. Here, the production of sake is thoroughly explained using pamphlets and short videos, which are also translated into English for visitors. The tour starts with the introduction of sake rice and ends in the brewery tasting room where visitors can learn how to enjoy sake the right way. There is even a sake tasting session at the end of the tour! Life-sized replicas and models are displayed in this museum as well, giving visitors a clearer idea of how sake brewing is done.
