Beverly Hills’ largest private estate.
Also known as Doheny Mansion, the massive Tudor Revival mansion was originally given by oil tycoon Edward L. Doheny to his son, Edward "Ned" Doheny, Jr., and his family in 1928. The magnificent 55-room mansion resides within 16-acres of lush landscaping and is considered by many Angelenos to be the city’s hidden treasure; indeed in 1965, it was purchased by the city of Beverly Hills and was awarded a title within the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.
Today, the stately mansion and its grounds double as a public park and as a venue for all kinds of special events, running the gamut from weddings and corporate events to films and summer camps. It’s perfectly manicured gardens and iconic mansion make it the ideal location for filmmaking, and it has been featured in several Hollywood blockbusters such as The Big Lebowski, Spider-Man, The Social Network, and There Will Be Blood.
