Do you want to visit the whole of Russia, but find that you simply do not have the time to do it? Then head on down to the Grand Maket Rossiya, where a grand model of the whole of Russia can be found!

From the eastern city of Vladivostok to the western oblast of Kaliningrad, the 800 square metre model layout shows it all. It is also the largest model layout in Russia. Located inside a two storey Stalin-era building, it took more than 400 modellers, artists and computer scientists to come up with this masterpiece! The model is so big, that binoculars are actually needed to see the finer details. Don’t worry if you forgot to bring a pair however, as visitors can rent them over here. If the sheer size does not impress you, then the day/night lighting system would surely do it. Every 13 minutes, the model will gradually turn into night, which would last for 2 minutes. To create this effect, more than 500,000 LED lights are used!

Depicting the everyday life of Russian people, the Grand Maket Rossiya is not to be missed.
