Famous for the freshwater springs that run below the seawater and along the beach, Glyka Nera, loosely translated as “sweet water”, is one of Crete’s most popular destinations. The narrow strip of white sand and delicate pebbles is bounded by a sheer cliff on one side, and sparkling blue-green waters on the other.
