The most picturesque of glens found deep within the Highlands.
At the foot of the high and mighty Ben Navis mountain is the largest settlement in the Highlands, Fort William. Walk a few minutes from the town and you’ll enter Glen Navis, a peaceful glen (deep valley) that immediately traps you in a serene, tranquil atmosphere. Saunter along the Nevis Gorge and you’ll find yourself in front of Steall Falls, one of the highest waterfalls in Scotland.
Within the glen is the Glen Nevis Holidays park, a site where you can lodge in a comfortable caravan or cottage, or even pitch a tent in the nearby campsite to wind down after a long hike. The place offers a spectacular scenery of Ben Navis and the mountainous landscape. The beautiful area surrounding it is ideal for cycling, hiking or even taking a leisurely stroll to see the livestock. Drop by Glen Nevis Visitor Centre to learn more about the glen and its wild history. Fun fact: certain scenes from famous films such as Harry Potter or Braveheart were filmed in Glen Nevis, so why not challenge yourself and try to see if you can recognize them?
