Glacier Point

A view worth fighting for.

Glacier Point in Yosemite National Park, California, has a view that makes city-dwellers question their choice of abode. Rising about 3200 feet above the Half Dome Village, this area gives you an entire view of attractions such as the Yosemite Valley, Yosemite Falls and the Half Dome Village.

In the warmer months, this spot can be reached by car or bus, but those who crave a challenge can hike here from the Valley using the “four-mile trail”, which takes around 8 hours. Ski-lovers out there can even enjoy their favourite sport during the winter months when the entire place is blanketed with snow. Additionally, it is probably best to get your cameras ready around sunset, where you can see the lovely twilight approaching in the most stunning medley of colours.
