Ghibli Museum (三鷹の森ジブリ美術館)

Walk into the world of Hayao Miyazaki.

This museum showcases the work of Studio Ghibli and Hayao Miyazaki (born 1941), of My Neighbour Totoro (1988), Princess Mononoke (1997) and Spirited Away (2001). Designed by Miyazaki himself, visitors will relive their childhood as they walk around the exhibits featuring many of the famous characters in the films. Seize the opportunity to view original sketches as well as several 20-minute animated clips that are played exclusively here. A few of the popular characters that can be found here are the life-sized robot from Castle in the Sky (1986), located at the rooftop garden, as well as the Catbus replica from My Neighbour Totoro. There are special exhibitions over the months, which are definitely worth the visit! The fairytale atmosphere, very much like Disneyland, will definitely bring joy to kids walking around the museum, while learning the art of animation.
