General Sherman Tree

A truly extraordinary segment of life.

Humans often take the environment for granted, which is why it is important that one visits the General Sherman Tree, located in the Giant Forest of Sequoia National Park in California. This tree is the world’s largest, at a height of over 83m, and a diameter of over 11m. Accessible by walking along the Main Trail, you can learn more about sequoias like this one with the signs that educate you along the way. There is a fence around the tree for good reason – as a protective measure, so that the shallow roots are unharmed. As such, when making your way to see this gargantuan natural wonder, make sure that you stay on the trail, and ponder upon the need for preserving Mother Nature as she is.
