While many people know and have tasted sake before, how many people actually know about the history and the brewing methods to this beverage? Located in Fushimi area of Kyoto, this area is well-known for its good quality sake. In this museum, visitors can get a chance to understand and learn more about sake. This museum was created by the Gekkeikan Brewing Company with the aim of preserving and educating people about the history of brewing. In fact, the museum was a former brewery built in 1909! Here, visitors can get to see the process of making sake, as well as the old equipment used to make sake. Savour the fine sake made here, and visitors can even take home one small bottle at the end of the tour!
