Garganta del Diablo

Fear the Devil, or not, for “he” is sure to astound you.

Garganta del Diablo, or also known as Devil’s Throat is a truly intimidating name for a stunning waterfall. One of the most stunning waterfalls amongst the Iguaza Falls, you mustn’t give this one a miss! The highest and deepest waterfall out of all those in the Iguaza Falls, the Devil’s Throat possesses a roar so mighty, you’ll be taken aback.

Hop on an approximately 1-kilometre long trail where you can experience the lush vegetation surrounding you. If you’re lucky, you might even get the chance to have gorgeous butterflies accompany you on your walk. An even luckier experience, look out for the mischievous racoons and perhaps the prego monkeys as well! With the trail bringing you over the Devil’s Throat, you can opt for alternative modes of transport to reach the other spots! Try taking an inflatable boat ride, bringing you up close and personal with the Devil(‘s Throat) himself! Watch from whichever viewpoint you find yourself, as you are deafened by the roar of the “Devil”, sending torrents of water gushing so far down that you can’t make out the bottom. Falling down a jaw-dropping 269 feet, you might even enjoy a “shower”, as the large amount of mist engulfs you. A grand and “frightening” experience that is sure to leave you in awe (in the good way), this is a waterfall experience not to be missed!
