Gardens by the Bay

Singapore’s 21st-century botanic gardens.

A literal take to the phrase "Garden in a City", Gardens by the Bay is Singapore’s 21st-century botanic gardens and poses as one of the top attractions in the country. Opened in 2012, Gardens by the Bay combines nature and modern technology, creating a fantasy wonderland of 101 hectares that treats you with simply breathtaking waterfront views.

The garden's Supertrees, which are futuristic vertical gardens with elevated walkways, are the most promiment features and its suspended walkways are sure to give you a mesmerizing bird's-eye view of the Gardens by the Bay. Be sure to catch the visual treat that is the sky show featured at the Supertrees in the evening - this amazing show of choreographed lights and sounds are a spectacle to behold. The Cloud Forest lets you enjoy almost being on top of a mountain and features plant life native to the highlands up to 2,000 metres above sea level. The Flower Dome, on the other hand, lets you enjoy the lush greenery and extoic flora originating from the Mediterranean climates in a giant greenhouse. The Cloud Forest and the Flower Dome are obviously artificially-created in 2 cooled conservatories, which at the least offer some respite from the heat and humidity in Singapore, and also make it accessible regardless of rain or shine! A truly unique experience, the Gardens by the Bay definitely cannot be missed!
