Funeral Mountains

A challenging journey for an isolated treasure.

Spanning an area of 25,707 acres and with its highest elevation at 2043m, the ominous sounding Funeral Mountains can take your breath away with its vast natural beauty. These mountains are part of the Amargosa Range which are on the east side of California’s Death Valley. As the conditions here can be rather challenging coupled with the lack of signposted trails, this range does not see that many visitors. However, if you do decide to brave the perils, you might be lucky enough to spot a Desert bighorn sheep, or a Chuckwalla lizard.
