Fukuoka Tower (福岡タワー)
Where “tall” is truly an understatement.
At a jaw-dropping 234m, the Fukuoka Tower is the tallest seaside tower in Japan. Operating since 1989, this Goliath of a tower is a great place to spend a day with loved ones. Head up to the observation deck at an elevation of 123m and let your little ones see the aerial beauty of the city that lies before them. They can view the Hakata Bay, Hakata Station and even the Kaihin Park, all from one spot. If you are with your significant other, choose to step into the Lover’s Sanctuary and take pictures with the heart-shaped arch, whilst enjoying the amazing view at the same time. Foodies fret not, there is a restaurant overlooking the city, to please both your stomach and your eyes.

Tips Before You Go
To ensure a memorable experience at the Fukuoka Tower, do avoid paying a visit after 5pm when the number of visitors usually peaks, and be prepared to spend about 1.5 hours here. Do check their official website before heading down as the Fukuoka Tower is always closed for two days in June and the exact dates vary each year.
