Also known as Rinella Battery, Fort Rinella is less of a defensive fort and more of a building designed to operate and protect its artillery within. Built in the 19th century, Fort Rinella is now an open-air museum that hosts the most immersive and engaging experience of the 19th century period. You can take your pick of a guided day tour or night tour – both will feature a tour guide straight from a 19th century barracks, a film show, and a live firing demonstration. While the night tour may provide a more surreal experience, throughout the day, you will be in for a full-course meal of live military displays and historical re-enactments.
