Forest Lawn Memorial Park

The final resting place of several celebrities.

One of six Forest Lawn cemeteries in Southern California, Forest Lawn Memorial Park is unlike the stereotypical grey, depressing, and unsightly stone-yards that have come to become synonymous with cemeteries. Instead, the memorial park is a sprawling, perfectly manicured lawn filled with towering trees, engraved statues and memorial architecture, and serves as a beautiful final resting place for several famous celebrities, including Carrie Fisher, Debbie Reynolds, Bette Davis and many more of Hollywood’s finest.

Enjoy a leisurely stroll through the memorial park and visit highlights such as the Lincoln Terrace, which houses a life-like bronze statue of the 16th president along with panoramic mosaics detailing key events in Lincoln’s life; the Plaza of Mesoamerican Heritage, which features detailed, ornately engraved sculptures of native Mexican artwork and artefacts; and the Court of Liberty, which houses several artefacts that preserve the history of the United States, including the “Birth of Liberty” mosaic depicting key scenes from early America.
