The simple beauty of nature presents itself abundantly in this park.
Arguably the most beautiful park in Cologne, the Flora and Botanical Gardens is a must visit for botany lovers, or people who appreciate the simple pleasures of life. This 11.5 hectare park is one of Cologne’s oldest public parks, founded in the 19th century. Though originally separate entities, the Flora and Botanical gardens have been functioning as a single unit since 1920.
Home to over 10,000 species of plants you will be spoilt for choice, and will have a hard time choosing your favourite! Stroll through the greenhouses for a quick climate change, or perhaps the Cactus house, visitors are now able to be easily transported to different regions of the world through the flora and fauna they see. Venture into the symmetrical garden complex for the beautifully arranged flowers, and be thoroughly satisfied with your visit.
