Step into a fairy-tale world at these popular gardens.
Step into a world that makes you feel like you are in a story penned by the Brothers Grimm at the Fitzroy Gardens. Located in Wellington Parade, Melbourne, these gardens were named after ex-Governor-General of the Australian Colonies Sir Charles Augustus Fitzroy in the middle of the 19th century.
Your young ones and your child-like wonder will adore Ola Cohn’s Fairies Tree, carved with various magical creatures such as dwarfs, flying foxes, and of course, fairies. In addition, there are many cottages, fountains, statues, and other elements to make you feel like you are in an old-fashioned fairy tale village. Head down to the Fitzroy Gardens, which plays host to a staggering 2 million visitors annually. Try to avoid Christmas Day as some parts will be closed.
