Fairy Bower Rock Pool

Magic and mystery reside here, waiting for the right person to find them all.

The baby of all rock pools in Sydney, the Fairy Bower Rock Pool is as small as it gets. Built in the late 1920s, its name evokes a feeling of magic and mystery. It’s thus no surprise that those who venture here are welcomed by the various sculptures that surround the triangular-shaped pool.

A popular sculpture – the Sea Nymphs or Oceanides rest at the edge of the pool, their svelte figures that form a circle, the perfect accompaniment to a day at the rock pool. The Fair Bower Rock pool is also THE pool for some relaxing wading, and especially so for young children where the shallow waters are safe for them. Head here early and enjoy the sunrise, where pink, orange, red and blue meld together perfectly, the best view to wake up to. Not a crowded pool, sit back and relax here, undisturbed by boisterous crowds at any time of the day.
