Located next to the famous Ryōgoku Kokugikan, the Edo-Tokyo Museum is a museum dedicated to the history of Tokyo during the Edo Period. Easily identified by its distinct architecture, this museum provides visitors with the opportunity to learn more about old Tokyo through interactive and user-friendly exhibits. Upon arrival, cross the life-size replica of the Nihonbashi Bridge, which leads visitors into a replicated old Edo. Other attractions in the museum include the Nakamuraza theatre and scale models of towns and buildings from the different periods. There is also a section that talks about Tokyo during the eventful and trying period of the Second World War, so be sure not to miss out on that! All exhibits are displayed with English explanations; thus visitors need not worry about the language barrier in this museum.
