Dray Nur Waterfalls

Stunning falls with a story behind it.

If you enjoy the beauty of unadulterated nature, then you will relish the opportunity to visit the Dray Nur Waterfalls. Located in the Dak Lak province of Vietnam, it is one of the largest waterfalls fed by the Serepok River. The words “Dray Nur” translate to mean wife or female, and there is an interesting tale as to why the waterfall has been named as such. As the legend goes, a young couple was sitting on a nearby rock when a monster chased the man away and kidnapped the lady. Today, you can sit on these very rocks the couple in the legend allegedly sat on and snap some scenic pictures of the falls. This is also a popular picnic spot for families to enjoy the magnificent view. Should you be willing and able, you can even travel to Dray Sap, another waterfall 23 km away from Dray Nur. You can even lace up your hiking boots, follow the trail to the Dray Nur Waterfalls, and enjoy the mystical atmosphere here.
