Go for a dip in the second-highest waterfall in Sri Lanka!
An adventure that’s not for the faint-hearted, a hike up Diyaluma Falls, the second-highest waterfall in Sri Lanka, brings you an exhilarating 220 metres above ground. After a bumpy drive to the foot of the waterfall and a 45-minute hike through scenic fields and tall grass, you’ll reach the top of the waterfall. Under your feet, you can see hills and valleys covered in lush forests, dotted with clumps of buildings. You can even take a dip or sit on the edge if you’re careful and game enough!
When you’ve taken in the view, you can start your trek down, which is every bit as rewarding as getting to the top. On the way down, you’ll spot a series of natural pool which are great for taking a quick swimming break. There’s also a ledge you can jump off of, with a deep pool free from rocks at the bottom you can safely dive into.
