Divoká Šárka

A nature reserve that surpasses all expectations, come here and check it out for yourself.

Loosely translated to mean “Wild Sarka”, this nature reserve is allegedly named after a brave warrior who threw herself off the cliffs. As legend says, she had apparently betrayed her lover during a war, thus killing herself out of guilt. In spite of the morose story, the nature reserve boasts pools and beautiful trails for you to explore within a few hours or even one that spans a day long.

A quiet getaway from the noise in the urban areas, you will be surrounded by hills, vast lands, caves and plenty more places to discover. Well-marked trails guide you towards the climb up a mountain where you will be surrounded by mini waterfalls and streams and plenty of interesting rock formations that lead up to some of the best lookout points. You can choose to either hike or bike your way through these trails, taking in this picturesque landscape before you. You best look out for the outdoor swimming pool - Lake Dzaban. Open to all, it is popular especially during the summer seasons where the cool waters warm you up immediately. Spanning a large area, it is unlikely you will run into people often. So find your own spot and get started on relaxing in this haven away from modernity.
