Explore Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
A theme park unlike any other, Animal Kingdom is the largest theme part in the world! It is a zoological theme park, and aptly enough, was opened on Earth Day in April 1998. It is dedicated to animal conservation, and this is evident as you amble around the theme park. The fascinating structure of the theme park has it divided into different themes based on regions. Discovery Island connects the other sections of the park, with the iconic Tree of Life found here. You can head out to Africa, where the Kilimanjaro Safari awaits. Hop aboard the safari vehicle to catch hyenas, lions prowling the savanna and rocky hills, with the occasional buffalo crossing the rivers. You can even discover meerkats and okapis while you trek the Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail.
Asia, with its thrilling and well-loved Expeditions Everest roller coaster, awaits. This ride will take you through the Forbidden Mountain of the Himalayas, where a terrifying Yeti awaits! Don’t miss out on the Maharajah Jungle Trek, where you trek the ruins outside a village, and carry on cautiously into the forest as majestic tigers watch you from a distance and Komodo dragons lie in wait. You might even stumble into a dinosaur eventually. Hold on, dinosaur? DinoLand U.S.A is home to a (fictional) paleontological facility, where you can take a thrill ride through time to the age of dinosaurs. Make your way there now, for an experience like never before!
