Diavolezza

An icy enclave with an age-old legend tucked within the Swiss alps.

Located along the massive mountain range of southern Switzerland, Diavolezza is a mountain peak that was once home to a beautiful she-devil called Diavolezza. Hunters who were lucky enough to catch sight of the she-devil would be so besotted with her that they would meet an untimely death in their pursuit. When Diavolezza’s own beloved went missing, she wailed his death until she finally left the mountain.

Now replaced by a cosy ski resort, Diavolezza remains a hotly-pursued attraction all year round. Surrounded by a gorgeous sphere of impenetrable snow white crests and cloudless azure skies, you will be transported into an altered dimension that hardly seems like Earth. As the starting point for Switzerland’s longest glacier run, Diavolezza is one of the most exciting spots to ski and snowboard. As you whip past unearthly snowscapes and craggy peaks, you will get to challenge the heart-stopping cliffs and steep fluffy snow. Whether in summer or winter, you can always enjoy scenic hikes up the mountain instead of riding the cable car. More excitingly, if you visit at the right time, you can even join the monthly moonlit ski trips under the gleam of the full moon – an ethereal experience that is hard to come by. Brave the blistering cold and experience the deadly charm of Diavolezza yourself.
